The Lamanai Wildlife Research Adventure Itinerary – 4 day

Operational area: Northern Belize 3 nights at Lamanai Outpost Lodge Double accommodations - Hardwood and thatch roof cabanas (Single accommodations available with applicable upcharge) All meals and taxes included, complementary WiFi

Day 1 - International Arrival

• Meet & Greet and Assisted Arrival at Belize International Airport, transfer to Lamanai
• Lamanai Maya Ruins & Museum
• Spotlight River Safari

Day 2

• Guided Sunrise Canoeing
• Jaguar Tracking & Wildlife Experience – assist active on-site research team – camera traps and tracking
• Heavy Bush Hike – opportunity to install a new camera trap for jaguar project – jungle navigation
• Crocodile Ecology – assist with data collection of long-term monitoring project - catch, measure, weigh, pit tag

Day 3

• Jungle Dawn Nature & Birding Walk
• Maya Jungle Medicine and Village Life – ethnobotany & cultural experience with traditional lunch
• Howler Monkey Trek – troop identification with scopes – data collection
• Guided Nightwalk and Insect Black-lighting
• Turtle Trapping

Day 4

• Minor sleep-in – Breakfast - Depart by boat for Tower Hill
• Air Transfer Tower Hill to San Pedro – 20 minute flight
• Arrive San Pedro 10:30 - 11:00am
